Buffy, Charmed
[name] Violet Penelope Sherman
[birthday] November 2nd, 1984
[powers] Slayer
[history] Violet was on of the lucky potentials to have a Watcher assigned to her from her early youth. She was born early November of 1984 in Arlington Texas. But by the age of nine the Council had pinpointed her and sent a watcher out straight away. Her Watcher was a woman by the name of Wilhemina Jenkins who is in her forties by the time she is sent to Violet. Instead of hiding her attachment to the girl, the Council decides to take a more direct approach. Violet's parents are very spiritual individuals, exploring all religions and not at all surprised of Violet's special heritage. They had always been supportive and had great faith in their daughter in all respects. They were happy to accommodate a Watcher in Vi's schedule.
Violet was in her senior year when the Bringers came to her Texas home. Her most vivid memory of that day was watching Billie (what her watcher preferred to be called) throwing a large blanket with her school logo (two horse shoes representing Colts) over the mangled bodies of her parents. And then the screams she emitted as she watched them kill Billie. Violet, with years of training, managed to disarm and trap them in her house and set it on fire. She escaped with one thing, the letter Billie had received from one Rupert Giles. She met him at the DFW airport, with a few of the other potentials, and the group went on to pick up more and head to Sunnydale.
When Vi arrived in Sunnydale, she was reluctant to be involved in any of this. Years of training with Billie had not prepared her for the violence and heartache that real battle filled her with. But she became close with the girls who arrived, she heard the passion in Buffy, Faith, Willow, and Xander's speeches. And eventually Vi started understanding all those things she'd read about in the Watcher diaries. She understood the importance of being a Slayer or even a Potential. She became a fighter. She was the first of the Potentials to actually kill a Slayer, staking the guy when Buffy locked them in a crypt.
During the battle in the Hellmouth Violet was responsible for more deaths than most of the other potentials. She was able to look out for the newer girls, herding them out to the bus when Spike's amulet started working. The moment everyone was on the bus, Vi used first aid skills picked up from years of being a lifeguard at the local pool to take care of everyone she could reach. Adrenaline was rushing and she might have gotten a little pushy, but she did what was necessary to keep everyone alive.
Now Vi is working in a sort of mentor position. Sure, she has a lot to learn. Buffy and Faith, even Willow and Xander, had been slaying for years before she had even seen a picture of a vampire. Sometimes, often in fact, she still sits in for training. But more often than not she prefers to work one on one with the newer girls. Vi shares a room with Rona, who she feels camaraderie with because of their being in the first group of potentials together and all that. [name] Willow Danielle Rosenberg

[powers] Strongest Mortal Witch
[history] Willow was born to Sheila and Ira Rosenberg in Sunnydale, CA. Her parents are both psychologists and both equally uninvolved in Willow's life. They did their best to see that Willow was on the right path and let her go her own way. As far as her parents were concerned, Willow was doing well on her own, following her own path and becoming her own person. They gave her free reign of her computer, a bedroom with a door to outside, and more freedom than any child ever needed. And Willow never abused that. Even though her closest friend, Xander Harris, was frequently trying to be a bad influence on her.
Xander and Willow remained friends all through elementary and middle school. They were the freaks and geeks, often teased and humiliated by the popular crowd (Cordelia, Harmony, and Larry included). Until Buffy moved to Sunnydale, life was pretty normal for Willow and Xander. And then everything changed. First it was the Master, then Buffy's relationship with Angel took a dark turn when he became Angelus, and weirder than all that... Xander started dating Cordelia Chase! And then the ex-demon Anya (which was not nearly as weird as dating Cordelia). But by then Willow had gotten over her childhood crush, moving on to Sunnydale's newest werewolf Daniel "Oz" Osborne. Her relationship with Oz strengthened her self-confidence, and also helped her survive high school. Surprisingly, especially with the Mayor turning into a giant snake, the Scooby Gang actually did survive High School.
Willow's first year of college brought many changes. Among them: the introduction of The Initiative, Oz's departure, Willow's delving rather deep into the Dark Arts, and a new realization of a new part of her sexuality. While the Scooby Gang learned how to take down Adam and use Spike to their benefit, Willow spent her time with Tara strengthening their magic and their relationship. Although as strong as her magic has gotten, Willow is just as easily fooled as everyone else when Dawn appears as Buffy's sister. By the end of her second year in college, however, Willow is strong enough to seriously hinder Glory's attempts to take over the world. She is only stopped however, by the loss of Willow's best friend.
Buffy's death was particularly hard for Willow. Her taste of the demon world led Willow to speculate that Buffy might be in a demon realm under constant torture. She convinced Anya, Xander, and Tara that the only way to assure that all was right in the world was to bring Buffy back from the dead. It took a fair bit of magic, but Willow did it. And from then on Willow became addicted. She was so lost in her own struggle, and her fights with Tara, that she didn't even notice Buffy's pain. After Buffy was forced to reveal that they had taken her out of Heaven, Willow's dependence on magic gets worse. Tara leaves her and Willow spirals into a very dark place. All this culminates in the moment that Warren shoots Tara. Her pain and rage turn into everything they had fought for the past five years, one great big apocalypse. And it is only through the love and undying support of her childhood best friend Xander that Willow comes back from her darkest moment.
Willow spends the next couple months in England under the tutelage of Giles' companions. She returns to find that the Scooby Gang must face their darkest enemy yet. Even darker than the evil in herself because it created the evil inside herself. Willow becomes something of a Watcher when the Potentials start showing up at the Summers' residence. Also, she begins to let herself feel again, finding solace in a spoiled rich girl Potential. And when it comes down to the final battle, it is Willow's power that saves them. Using magic far older than anything the world can remember, Willow calls upon something that turns her not dark like her previous experience, but pure like a Goddess. The power that was once saved only for one girl was given freely to every Potential Slayer through Willow's magical prowess. And when Sunnydale finally became nothing more than a crater in the ground, Willow regretting nothing.
Exhausted and thoroughly deserving of a vacation, Willow decides that it's time she took a long vacation, and took Kennedy with her. Although she begins to realize that Kennedy was just the catalyst to help her get over Tara finally. Now Willow is learning to move on and deal with her pain in other ways.[name] Bianca Therese Phoenix

[powers] Energy Balls. Reconstitution. Shimmering. Materialization.
[history] Bianca was born the last in a long line of Witch Assassins. Her mother and grandmother before her, and many other relatives, had been born with the mark of the Phoenix on the inside of their wrists. When Bianca was born there were some twenty or thirty left of her family. They all had different last names, different powers, different nationalities, but they were all the Phoenix. Spread out across time and space in order to get their job done. Any job, really. As long as it was dark. As long as their was blood or pain.
A few very poignant things happened in Bianca youth, however, to transform her into something other than a cold-blooded Phoenix. The first was the appearance of the Charmed Ones in her home when she was just a child. No more than four at the most. They came, they attacked, and her mother ran off with her. She stayed with her grandmother for a while, and when her mother appeared again, Bianca could tell something was different. Something had changed in her mother, and from that moment on, it changed in Bianca as well.
Instead of homeschooling Bianca and training her to be an assassin as all the other Phoenix had been raised, Bianca was sent to a regular school. Elementary and Middle School were pretty normal for her. She was still trained in martial arts and the use of her powers, but it was less than the other Phoenix of the family. And when Bianca found out about Magic School, she begged to go. And against the better judgment of the family, her mother let her go.
There Bianca met the love of her life, Chris Halliwell. They hit it off immediately. And it wasn't until a year or so into their relationship that Piper revealed to them the future where they had been together. Bianca wasn't surprised. She figured that explained a lot. And more than that, she felt for the first time in her life that something was actually exactly how it was supposed to be.[name] Wilhemina "Billie" Miriam Jenkins

[powers] Advanced Abilities thanks to being the Ultimate Power. Telekinesis. Projection.
[history] Growing up on the east coast, Billie had a pretty normal childhood. She had an older sister that she adored, who picked on her mercilessly, but loved her none-the-less. She had doting parents who were loving but firm. And everything was perfectly normal until the night when Christy was taken. It was years before Billie would remember that it was a demon, and years before her parents would realize the same thing. It was something that changed Billie's whole life.
Despite the tragedy, life went on. It had to. But while Billie continued with school, she was forbidden to ask about Christy. She started to get a little bitter, upset that her parents were just pushing aside something that was so important. She had no idea they spent all their time and resources trying to find Christy. But in the process they were alienating the daughter they had left. So much so that when Billie finally graduated, she went all the way across the United States to San Francisco for college.
It was there that Billie's powers first manifested. And also there that she first started chasing demons. More importantly it was there that she met the Charmed Ones and her destiny was revealed. She was trained, she was twisted, and eventually her whole life was turned upside down. It was the finally battle which had the most affect on Billie. After spending so much time looking for, saving, and reuniting with her sister, Billie was finally forced to kill Christy, for the greater good.
Patching things up with the Halliwells wasn't easy. Phoebe was the first one to forgive Billie, of course. But after a while, they all forgave her. Billie was at Phoebe's wedding, and then spent a good amount of time babysitting Phoebe's daughters. She finished college, taking up a job at the SF museum, working on the electronic archives. She met her future husband, a man of gypsy lineage, while working there. And in 2012 she and Wesley Potter were married.
In 2016 Billie had her first child, a little girl named Christine "Christy" Jacqueline Potter. Frantic that her daughter would suffer the same fate as her sister, Billie spent all of Christy's sixth year tracking and killing any demon who could even remotely relate to Christy's disappearance. Because of this, she was the target of a lot of the Underworld. And because of this, Wesley was caught in demon crossfire and killed. Billie still hasn't quite gotten over it.[name] Gwenevere Malory Morris

[powers] Guardian of the Holy Grail: Longer Lifespan, Geokinesis, Divine Intervention
[history] Gwen was born in Italy after a long and torrid affair between her parents. Her dad, Michael, is a musician and her mother is a model. The two crossed paths many times before. It wasn't until Rhys got pregnant that the two decided to stop fucking around and actually do something about it. They waited until Gwen was a year old before getting married in a large ceremony in San Francisco. After a lot of pressure from Darryl and Sheila, the two decided to settle down there and let Gwen grow up where her father and grandfather did. They even settled into the house where Michael and Darryl Jr grew up. And for the first few years, despite the paparazzi, Gwen had a pretty normal childhood. And soon enough the paparazzi started to leave them alone. By the time Gwen started school, they almost never showed up.
Despite Darryl's warnings, Michael and Rhys had no problem with Gwen befriending the Halliwell kids. They were just kids, right? Michael had no memory of demons or witches or anything like that because Darryl and Sheila had been so careful about hiding them from the kids. Darryl did he best to keep Gwen away from them, doing his best to tell his granddaughter all kinds of things meant to steer her away from them. But like any child, you tell them not to do something and it's the only thing on their mind. Gwen, growing up with the wild rebel parents she had, did exactly what Darryl wanted her not to do. She got in as close to the Halliwells as she could. And they accepted her with all the love that they accepted Darryl's family with decades ago. After a few years it was like the generational split between them had never happened. Even Darryl started to give in (likely at the urgings of Sheila) and rekindled his friendship with the sisters.
Gwen entered high school and everything changed for her. She had just recently begun to be noticed by boys. They saw her as more than just a rock star and a model's daughter. She was a young woman. And not bad looking. But Gwen realized that there was only one guy that she was even remotely interested in. And as soon as she hit high school, Gwen decided she wanted to date him. She wasn't shy about it either. She made it very clear to Potter that it was time they started making things official. The couple dated for a while. It was months before Potter felt comfortable enough to tell her about his family and the whole Charmed line. He brought Gwen to the Manor, and asked Morgan to help him explain things. It sounded like a great plan and an easy way to ease her into things.
All good things tend to twist around the Halliwells, though. As the group was headed up the stairs toward the attic, Morgan lost her footing and fell, taking Gwen with her. The two girls tumbled until they hit the landing. The injuries weren't initially bad... until everyone realized that Morgan's teeth had bit through Gwen's head. Darryl just happened to be downstairs, arguing with Piper about letting Potter tell his granddaughter about magic. Before Gwen was able to realize what was going on, Darryl rushed her out of there. He let Paige near enough to heal Gwen while she was passed out from the poison, but that was it. It wasn't long before Darryl explained everything to Michael and Rhys and the family decided to send Gwen away.
Once getting Gwen settled in Venice, her parents decided it was time to get back to work. They needed to get their minds off things. They left Gwen with her spinster Aunt and went globe-trotting with their respective careers. No one suspected that the Aunt in question was not actually her Aunt. Aunt Volondra was actually a demon working with a rather larger group of demons. They wanted control of Gwen so that when her powers came to being, they would be the ones in control of the grail. Gwen grew up with no real knowledge of what happened or what was going to happen. And as the years went on, the demons took more and more of her memory. The first thing to go was Potter. Then the whole Halliwell family. And soon Gwen had no knowledge of being in San Francisco at all. A few more years and all memories of her parents would have been gone.[name] Parker "Ladybug" Prudence Halliwell
[birthday] January 12, 2006
[powers] Empathy. Projection. Pyrokinesis. Shimmering.
[history] Parker Prudence Halliwell, Ladybug, was the product of her mother's last great love affair. The demon Drake, pure of heart and destined to die before his daughter's birth, wooed and won Phoebe's heart at the request of her first true love, Cole Turner. And when it was all over, instead of opening her heart to romantic love, she was left with a new kind of love. Phoebe found the love of a daughter. When Coop showed up to woo her and win her over to the side of love again, Phoebe turned him away. All of Parker's life Phoebe dated, but never found anyone serious enough to introduce them to her precious little Ladybug.
And that was fine with Parker. From day one Parker was a fussing screaming ball of baby. Her first power to manifest, though no one ever knew it, was the power of projection. She was raised on the stories of the great Charmed Ones. Her insecurity made it impossible for her to control her other powers. Her empathy was the next to kick in. Parker spent more nights in her mom or Aunt Billie's bed than in her own. Her heart broke for the people, she grew angry when people around were angry, she cried, she screamed and Parker was generally miserable. It made her hate magic because she thought she would never be able to control her powers like Wyatt, or Chris, or any of her other cousins.
And soon she receded into herself. Parker took to reading as soon as she was able. And when she learned what Mom did, she took to writing. The idea for a Magic School News Paper was Parker's idea, but was followed through by a close friend. Although, of course Parker writes for it. Mostly, though, Ladybug is a quiet kind of girl. She holds her emotions in. She rarely talks to anyone (with the exception of her diary) about how she feels. And, like the matrons of the Halliwell family all have before, Parker is not happy about her Charmed Heritage. She hasn't quite found her niche yet. She resents that she's constantly feeling what everyone feels. And also that the good in her turns her into a very self-sacrificing person because of this. She rarely uses her other powers, because her empathy frequently leaves her drained. (This is a blessing because her fireballs have never gotten out of control!) Although more and more recently (because of Magic School) she's begun learning to control and use her demonic power of shimmering.
Not long ago she and two of her cousins (Melinda and Ariel) were chosen to carry on the Charmed legacy. Parker stated clearly that she didn't want it, that she hated the idea, but it wasn't her choice. One day, when the Halliwell/Mitchell witches (all 7 of them) were consulting the Book. Melinda joined Ariel and Parker at the Book, hands on each other - hands on the Book, and the lights flashed - the Manor shook - and suddenly the three of them were Charmed. If only Ladybug knew her destiny was so much bigger than just that.[name] Melinda Halliwell Wyatt
[birthday] February 2, 2003
[powers] Molecular Immobilization/Combustion, Shapeshifting/Glamouring, Pyrokenesis (balls & blasts), Shielding, Cloaking, Sensing and Orbing. Heir to Excalibur.
[history] In a parallel universe, Melinda Wyatt was born to Piper and Leo in place of Wyatt Halliwell. She was the daughter everyone expected. All of the hullabaloo that surrounded Wyatt's birth was given to Melinda's birth in this universe. Magic stopped, demons were constantly after her, and Melinda's powers were amazing even to her family. She spent a lot of time in Magic School. For the first few years of her life Melinda was spoiled rotten by her parents and her aunts. Phoebe was starting out at the newspaper, Prue was moving up in the ranks at Bucklands, and P3 was thriving.
But things went downhill for the family very quickly. Nathaniel Pratt, upset by his experiences with the Charmed Ones earlier in life, started hunting witches publicly. By the time Melinda was five her Aunt Phoebe was a victim of Nathaniel's accusations. The witch hunts caused a rift between her parents. Leo was always away trying to protect his charges. Piper was worried about exposure, a normal life for Melinda, and her Charmed duties. By the time Pheobe was captured, the papers were finalized for the divorce. Melinda started spending a lot of time with the neighbors after that.
At age six, February 26, 2009, Melinda lost her Aunt Phoebe to the first public witch burning. Piper and Prudence, through the fault of their past selves, were in the chamber when it happened. Instead of an easy escape, the remaining Charmed Ones were captured and tried. It was less than six months before Melinda's only living relative was her father.
For the next ten years Leo and Melinda were on the run. Demons took over the Halliwell Manor. Melinda's only schooling was what Leo and the other Wiccan refugees could teach her. They hid in alleys, they scavenged for food, and Melinda's powers were frowned upon. Any time she showed even the tiniest bit of magic, Leo stifled her. He was angry all the time. Melinda grew up darker and more angry at the world than anything else. She hated Leo for letting her mother and her aunts die.
At age 16 Melinda ran away. Leo chased her, of course, but Melinda had enough WhiteLighter in her to be able to cloak herself well. She spent the next five years in dark alleys similar to The Bare Witch Project, where magical teens with no where else to turn dealt in black market magic. Melinda, the sole heir to the Charmed line, became something of a mercenary, killing demons when she could get something out of it. Other demons paid her, witches paid her, some traded her magic goods and services in exchange for her abilities and protection. She's very much like Piper is in Centennial Charmed, a ruthless killer with a vengeance.
The one demon Melinda decided to go after on her own was the Water Demon that killed her grandmother Patty. During the battle, in the middle of winter, Melinda ended up in the water. She killed the demon but survived, with a pretty bad cold. That was when Leo tracked her down. Her powers were weak from illness and she wasn't able to cloak herself. They were having a pretty serious argument, Melinda's power malfunctioning due to her sickness. When suddenly she sneezed and ended up in Magic School in a completely different universe... a universe where she didn't even exist.[name] Paige Agnes Matthews-Mitchell
[birthday] August 2nd, 1977
[powers] Telekinetic Orbing, Orbing, Glamouring, Sensing, Light Manipulation, Cloaking, and Healing
[history] Paige was born out of a forbidden and very secret union between Patty Halliwell and her whitelighter Sam Wilder. She was taken to a church, left with Sister Agnes, and left with only a baby blanket and the directions that her name should begin with a P. She was named Paige and adopted by the Matthews couple. She had a fairly normal childhood. She had her moments of rebellion, obviously, but that didn't mean she was a bad kid. She was just a normal child. And when she was fifteen her parents died in a car accident. Paige straightened up, went to college, and became the kind of woman she knew her parents would have wanted. She attended Berkley and earned a degree in Social Work, finding a job at South Bay Social Services.
When Prue died, Paige had already suspected the Halliwells as her family. She had been spending a lot of time at P3 and felt magically drawn to the funeral. It wasn't until she was attacked that Paige searches for the sisters to find out what was going on. Together with the Book of Shadows above them, the Charmed Ones are reconstituted. Afterward it takes Paige a short time to adjust to life as a witch and quite a bit longer to adjust to life as a sister, especially a baby sister. Eventually, though, she accepts her place as both. She moves into the Manor and quits her job as a social worker to become a full-time witch. For years she becomes the head witch of the family and even her Temp Jobs lead her down magical paths. Eventually Paige learns to accept herself as a whitelighter, as well... and through this path she learns to accept Sam as her father too.
After destroying Zankou, and faking their deaths, Paige tries to find a new identity for herself. She is drawn to the police force, but not for the reason she had originally suspected (a job). Eventually she finds her new life in Henry Mitchell, a parole officer who works with one of her charges. While the Charmed Ones are facing their biggest battle yet, against the Ultimate Power and also her most recent charge Billie, Paige is having another battle with herself. She fights with her independence and the fact that Henry is mortal and at risk if he's in a relationship with her. He proves himself, though, and the two marry.
Years later Paige and Henry are blessed with a little boy. Twin girls follow. Paige returns to teaching at Magic School, happy to let Leo be the headmaster again. She spends a lot of her time working with her charges. She also learns baby sign language to communicate with her temporarily mute daughter, Ariel. When the girls are in their last years of school, Paige is sent to save a tiny child from demons. Paige and Henry end up adopting Molly and raising her as their own. And they even get to meet her as a young girl when she returns from the future to help with the new Charmed Ones and their battles and powers. Of course she returns to the future and Paige continues to raise baby Molly.[name] Penelope Prudence Halliwell

[powers] Telekenesis. Cupid Teleportation. Empathy. Projection.
[history] Penelope Prudence Halliwell was named after two of the most beloved people in her mother's life. Immediately she recieved the power of telekenesis, it was a heritage passed down through both of her namesakes. And as a baby she often drew things (bottles, blankets, etc) toward her. PJ came very quickly after Pen was born. In fact, nine months after. So, of course, growing up Pen always felt over-shadowed by Parker and ignored for the sake of PJ. Any child would tend to get a little bitter about something like that, but not Pen. Pen was, from infancy, endowed with a severe sense of empathy. It cause a lot of problems when she was a baby. If Phoebe was frustrated, Pen was screaming. If her cousins and sister were fighting, Pen was screaming. If there was a demon, Pen screamed. If Parker was scared, Pen screamed. It was a hard first few months.
Right around her third birthday the middle sibling syndrome kicked in. Pen began to sort out her empathy in her tiny toddler mind. She was more relaxed, not causing such a fuss because she knew PJ needed attention. Her power of projection showed up at this time. She was able, to a very mild degree, to increase or decrease her sisters' and cousins' powers. Something she never did intentionally, but learned to control nevertheless. And soon she receded into herself. And Pen took to reading as soon as she was able. And when she learned what Mama did, she took to writing. The idea for a Magic School News Paper was Pen's idea, but was followed through by a close friend. Although, of course Pen writes for it.
Mostly Pen is a quiet kind of girl. She holds her emotions in. She rarely talks to anyone (with the exception of her diary) about how she feels. And, like the matrons of the Halliwell family all have before, Pen is not happy about her Charmed Heritage. She hasn't quite found her niche yet. She resents that she's constantly feeling what everyone feels. And also that the good in her turns her into a very self-sacrificing person because of this. She rarely uses her other powers, because her empathy frequently leaves her drained. Although more and more recently (because of Magic School) she's begun learning to control and use her Cupid-gifted power of teleportation.[name] Penthea Matthews Mitchell

[powers] Telekenetic Orbing. Orbing. Empathy. Projection.
[history] Upon finding out she was pregnant for the second time, Paige set about planning her daughter's future. Phoebe's vision had shown Paige with a little girl. When the OBGYN told Paige and Henry it was twins, Paige was surprised, but her plans were not altered. Penthea was the little girl that all Paige's wiccan dreams were set on. The first little girl that popped out was equally blessed and cursed with her mother's enthusiasm. Porsche, born an hour or so later (technically the next day!), was obviously going to do her own thing from the get-go. And Pen was so accommodating that she didn't have the heart to tell her mother that getting magic shoved down her throat was not Penthea's idea of fun. Penny, poor kid, was endowed with a severe sense of empathy from infancy. It caused a lot of problems when she was a baby. If Paige was frustrated, Pen was screaming. If her cousins or sister or brother were fighting, Pen was screaming. If there was a demon, Pen screamed. If Henry Jr was scared, Pen screamed. It was a hard first few months. If Porsche was upset, Pen was twice as upset.
Right around her third birthday the middle sibling syndrome kicked in. Pen began to sort out her empathy in her tiny toddler mind. She was more relaxed, not causing such a fuss because she knew Porsche needed attention (or she would get into everything!). Her power of projection showed up at this time. She was able, to a very mild degree, to increase or decrease her sister's, brother's, and cousins' powers. Something she never did intentionally, but learned to control nevertheless. And soon she receded into herself. And Pen took to reading as soon as she was able. Phoebe became Penny's favorite aunt by spending a lot of time with the girl in an attempt to help her control her empathy. It was Phoebe's urging that got Penthea started writing. The idea for a Magic School News Paper was Pen's idea, but was followed through by a close friend. Although, of course Pen writes for it.
Mostly Pen is a quiet kind of girl. She holds her emotions in. She rarely talks to anyone (with the exception of her twin) about how she feels. Although more and more recently (because of Magic School) she's begun learning to control and use her ability to orb.[name] Phoebe Charlotte Halliwell
[birthday] Nov 1, 1976
[powers] Premonitions, Empathy, Levitation
[history] Phoebe Halliwell was born the last daughter to Patricia Halliwell and Victor Bennet. Nothing really notable happened in her childhood except for the loss of her mother, which she was too young to remember or be deeply affected by. At an early age her grandmother, Penelope Halliwell, bound her powers, along with those of her sisters. There was a lot of fighting between them, and when Prue's fiance hit on Phoebe and sent her flowers at her bartending job, Prue blamed Phoebe for leading him on. Thus, Phoebe left for New York, where she sought out her father. By a fluke of fate (or perhaps a conscious decision of the elders) Penny Halliwell died before she had a chance to permanently bind her daughters powers. And by the time Phoebe returned for her grandmother's funeral, the power of the Charmed Ones was reconstituted and only awaited the girls to be touching around the Book of Shadows. And after that nothing was ever normal or calm in Phoebe's life from that point on.
In the next few years the Charmed Ones learned to control and direct their powers. But Phoebe, who was the only witch without an active power, decided that she needed to take martial arts. And by this point has grown quite good at it. But while she just had the minimal power of premonition, things are a bit harder for her. Phoebe bounced from job to job to job for a while, never finding anything solid that fit her life. She fought near constantly with Prue, who was the rock of the family and always held a steady job and took care of everyone. She had a few love interests, all of whom turned into either warlocks, or demons, or something similar. The first few years of being a Charmed One were particularly hard on Phoebe. However, that was just the tip of the ice berg for her.
Just when happiness seems in reach for Phoebe, tragedy strikes. She falls in love (which isn't a tragedy at first) with an ADA named Cole Turner. And very soon after (of course, not soon enough to stop herself from falling in love with him) finds out that Cole is the human side of the demon Balthazor sent to kill the Charmed Ones. But Cole, too, falls in love and can't do it. Her relationship with Prue, despite the fact that Prue doesn't trust Cole at all, is getting stronger. And it's just then that Prue's relationship with Piper seems to be falling apart. It is Prue and not a demon who ruins Piper and Leo's wedding. And it is Phoebe, chock full of psychiatric training from college, who helps bring Prue out of her problematic state. Soon after that, Cole's demonic side (thanks to another demon) comes out and he kills an innocent which "kills" Phoebe's love for him. She pretends to kill him, and lies to her sisters. But soon after she realizes she can't live without him and finds a way to bring him back. (Not before turning into a Banshee, hoever.) But just as it seems like things might work out for them, Prue is killed by the demon Shax.
The next few weeks are particularly hard for Phoebe, but more-so for Piper. The day of Prue's funeral, fate steps in again and within a day of getting a premonition about a young lady named Paige Matthews, the remaining Charmed Ones find that she is their younger half-sister, and therefore another Charmed One. The new few months are difficult, with Phoebe playing mediator, as well as trying to teach Paige to be a Charmed One, and trying to keep the love of her life from getting killed by demonic bounty hunters. However, she does manage to finally find a solid job she loves, that uses her degree in pschology, an advice columnist for the Bay Mirror. And she gets engaged, despite her (well-earned) fear of commitment. And it isn't until after they vanquish the source of all evil (or rather, unknowingly transfer it into Cole's body) that they actually do get married. And instead of the big perfect wedding that Phoebe planned, Cole tricks them into having a small wedding, in a graveyard at a little chapel by one of the Source's priests. Thus the marriage is unholy, not holy. And this gives room for Phoebe to become pregnant with his child, the heir to the source.
It's during this time that Phoebe loses herself to the "darkest love that ever existed". Hormones, in addition to a tonic given to her by the Seer (the Source's evil advisor) leans Phoebe heavily on the evil side. She tries to play both sides, saving innocents, as well as demons... who are now her subjects as the Source's Queen and the Queen of the Underworld. But, good wins out in the end, and despite her agony over losing her true love (according to a bit of magic done in the past with an apple peel and a bucket of water) Phoebe helps her sisters vanquish Cole. And for the next few months she spends her time trying to put Cole to rest in the demonic wasteland.
Which of course isn't the end for everyone's favorite couple. Cole finds a way to escape, chock full of powers he gleaned from other demons in the wasteland. But by this time Phoebe is done with it. The next year is spent equally dealing with Piper's pregnancy and trying to finalize the divorce between Phoebe and Cole. She still loves him for a while, proven by her escapade as a mermaid, but it just isn't destined to be. It is because of his new evil powers that "once again [their] love was nearly fatal". It is, eventually, Paige who manages to solve the problem of killing Cole when he changes the events of the past and creates a future where he is merely Balthazor and not invincible.
By this time Phoebe has moved on and is beginning a relationship with the owner of the Bay Mirror, Jason. The relationship gets very heavy, very quickly, as does her columnist career and her fame. But Phoebe is, as always, heavily distracted by her duties as a Charmed One. Her nephew Wyatt (not the niece they had expected) is born with more magic than the world has ever seen in one body. And a second nephew appears from the future, holding his identity secret for a good few months. Right about the time that Chris shows up, Phoebe gives up on Jason, and consequently love itself. As her powers increase to empathy, Phoebe has to deal with Piper's pain over losing Leo to the Elders, Paige's aggrivation over temp jobs, and Chris' never-ending secrets. Though finally, though a vision quest and a bit of intuition, Phoebe figures out that Chris is Wyatt's baby brother.
To keep from risking exposure of Magic, the Cleaners incriminate Darryl. And during the trial with the Council of Elders and Demons, Darryl is freed, but Phoebe loses her powers (which eventually come back very slowly). Soon after this, there is a great fight to save Wyatt from being killed by Gideon. In which future Chris is killed, just as present Chris is born. And Leo kills Gideon to restore the natural balance. That's only the tip of the iceberg, however. The Avatars, neutral beings who only want a good world, convince the Charmed Ones that their way is a good, demon free, life. With the help of Leo, who has become and Avatar. But soon they realize that the reason the world has no evil is because the Avatars wipe out all negativity (usually by death). And after a brief fight, the Avatars return the world to the way it was. Outraged at Leo for becoming an Avatar, the Elders send him off with no memory to find his true destiny, which is and always will be Piper. This, added to a sudden romance with a demon (a completely good demon) named Drake restores Phoebe's faith in love, despite the fact that Drake is to die in two weeks. It's soon found out that Cole, from his astral plane half-life has sent Drake to make-up for what he stole from Phoebe.
It is at this point, with Leo heading up the school, Paige teaching there, Piper trying to raise her sons and run P3, that the world is thrown out of whack. All three sisters are drawn to London by different forces. But Phoebe is the only one who heeds the call. She finds a flat in London and starts writing for the London Daily, a sister paper to the Bay Mirror. Demons find her there as well, however. And in the middle of a fight, there is a sudden black out. When Phoebe finds her equillibrium, the demon is gone. Phoebe returns to her flat to scry for him, and her scrying doesn't work. She tries a few more spells, and none of them work. And now she's in the process of trying to get ahold of her sisters and find out what kind of weird world they ended up in this time, why (or rather, who did it), and how to set things back to rights.[name] Prudence Victoria Halliwell
[birthday] October 28th, 1970
[powers] Telekinesis. Astral Projection.
[history] Prudence Victoria Halliwell (middle name given in honor of her father, of course) was born October 28th, 1970. She was an unusually loud child. Her parents knew immediately that she was blessed. Prue always seemed to know and vocalize her needs, one way or another. And it was very soon after her birth that she began to manifest her abilities. Around 18 months, in fact. She used her telekinesis to draw toys to herself. As well as to throw things when she didn't want them. And soon enough she started to throw magical fits, causing things in the room to hover, fly, and sometimes spin when she was angry. Viktor was beside himself, Patty was overwhelmed, but Grams got control of young Prue and got the child's powers under control. Outbursts became less frequent and Prue used her powers consciously but minimally until age five when her powers were bound along with Piper and Phoebe's.
High school and college went relatively normally for Prue. She was an A student, involved in scores of extracurricular activities, dated the best of the best, and slid in and out of her "rebellious" phase with very few consequences (that is, until later). She worked at the Museum, getting engaged and then breaking up with the man who would later become her boss... the very thing which caused her to leave the museum and join Buckland's. A few demons and a greedy, unethical boss later she began to take her lifelong dream seriously, gaining a job as a photographer for 415 Magazine. All this while finding and losing her high school sweetheart, and then dating Jack, who was no match for her in maturity. All in all, Prue's social life was pretty on par. Normal, even. The most normal, in fact, of all the sisters.
In the end, though, it was her Charmed life that won over. She dedicated most of herself to it, and thus, lost her life in the end. Shax, who was later defeated by the new Power of Three (reinstated with Paige in Prue's place), attacked Piper and Prue. By the time Phoebe, Cole and Leo were able to escape the underworld, there was only time to save one sister. Prue was lost to life. And soon had a hard time adjusting to death. It took nearly twenty years for Prue to truly adjust. The Elders and her ancestors had a hard time taking the need to fix, control and meddle out of Prue's system. Every time they wanted to let her return for a short time, it seemed that her personal plans would interfere with what was meant to be. So they kept her "up there" for much longer than most of the dead were made to stay.
Patty is the one who eventually led Prue to the right path in her death. Patty had also had a hard time letting go. Prue was allowed to become a White Lighter in Australia and New Zealand, far from her family, until the Elders could trust her. Finally, twenty-odd years later, Prue is able to return and help guide the lives of her sisters, nieces and nephews, the way Grams and Mom helped guide hers. Or, more accurately, the way Leo helped the Charmed Ones.[name] Seth Peterson
[birthday] March 15, 2003
[powers] Shimmering, a kind of Sonic Scream, Super-Strength/Speed/Sense, and a forked tongue.
[history] The first few years of Seth's life were by far the hardest. His father was a mortal who had the misfortune of being chosen to help a manticore pack create the perfect hybrid. After Derek escaped the Underworld, the baby (unnamed at this point) was raised by the manticore pack. It was nearly eight months before his father, with the help of the Charmed Ones, was able to save him and destroy the pack of manticores that would have made his early childhood hell. Once he was back in the care of his father, he was given the name Seth. But Seth was never destined to have a normal childhood.
Being born in the Underworld had one real advantage. No one knew he existed. That might seem like it would make things difficult, but for the most part Seth and his father never interacted with normal society. The father and son duo spent the better part of Seth's formidable years on the road. Derek had decided that with a son like his, they could be doing more important things. While home-schooling Seth as best as he could, Derek spent a lot of time hunting demons and ghosts and other beasties. And by the time Seth was twelve, he was hunting just like his father.
Along the way the pair met any number of other hunters. They ran into witches, werebeasts, ghosts, and any number of other creatures who weren't all bad. But for the most part what Seth and his father did was help normal people who had no idea what they were up against. Seth got rather good at it. His manticore abilities were surprisingly helpful in getting in and out of sticky situations. But things weren't always peachy-keen between him and his father. By the time Seth was seventeen he decided it was time for them to go their separate ways. He started hunting on his own, keeping up with his father only through cell calls, and not very often.
Early September of 2025, Seth's father went missing. None of their contacts had heard from him, and nothing Seth did could track him down. Right about this time the rumors of a new Source surfaced, along with word that the long dormant Death Eating Wizards were acting up again. Desperate for some answers, and worried beyond what he was willing to admit, Seth decided to go to the Charmed Ones for help. He figured he could give his expertise and skills to fix their problems in exchange for their help tracking down his father.
