[appearance] Mafalda was born beautiful. While in the Muggle World she was Ms. Popularity and flaunted her appearance with no problems. She entered the Wizarding World, though, and her flaming red hair was a sign that she was related to the Weasleys, which she hated. So by the time Mafalda hit her second year, she wanted to be her own person and not another Weasley relation. So Maffie started charming her hair and tattoos, as well as piercings (though a few of those actually ended up being real) and other things that would certainly set her apart from the good little Weasley crew. When Mafalda got into stripping and modeling, the carefree attitude she'd previously had about her weight disappeared. She, like every other stripper and model in world, took to starving herself for that so thin she almost looks ill in appearance. Now Mafalda is whatever her clients want her to be. She charms herself however she's needed for work. And when she's lazed about at home, she's the fiery red-head with bright blue-green-eyed, as per natural.

[personality] Mafalda is nothing if not bitter. She grew up with no knowledge at all of the Wizarding World, even though her father was a pureblooded wizard. And even after Mafalda got her letter to Hogwarts, they attempted to keep her out of the Wizarding World. But Mafalda, who was used to getting her way, threw a fit (a magical fit, which is dangerous to all) until she got her way. Maffie is used to getting whatever she wants and knows how to play people well. She embodies all that is Slytherin, determined, devious, and self-serving. How she reacts to people is based entirely on what she wants and how she can best get it from them. In school she didn't have any friends, but a small group of younger slytherin girls who began to admire her and follow her around because of her determination and strong personality. Because her parents kept magic completely hidden from her until she received her Hogwarts letter, Mafalda began school as a very impressionable young woman. Her trust in people was completely gone. And after hearing the word mudblood so casually to refer to herself, Mafalda immediately hated her blood. The attitude of a Slytherin pushed it's way out. She hit her "rebellious stage" a few years earlier than most kids and still isn't out of it. Although her great-grandparents never saw her as anything but the perfect little pureblood socialite that she should have been. Maffie drinks, smokes, does the occassional narcotic. She's brilliant, her grades rivalling Hermione's (some even matching up to) though she is a few years behind the trio. But she's learning that in the pureblood world, a smart woman isn't necessarily what people are looking for. She started stripping at 16 to fund her delinquincies. Now she has modeling to do that, but she still strips on occassion for the fun of it. She closes herself off emotionally. But she's always surrounded by people. The men want in her knickers (and most of them get there) and the women usually want to use her to raise themselves or knock her down (which hasn't worked yet).

[family/pets] Mafalda is distantly related to both Molly Weasley and the Black sisters. Her grandparents were Lucretia Black and Ignatius Prewett, both deceased. Ignatius' parents are her Nan and Pops Prewett (also Molly's grandparents). Lucretia's parents were Melenia McMillan and Arcturus Black. Arcturus' parents were Hester Gump and Sirius Black (1st). Sirius parents were were Ursula Flint and Phineas Nigellus Black. Phineas is also the great-great-grandfather of the Black sisters & Sirius & Regulus. [history] Callie (the nickname her mother insisted on) was born to a stock broker (Mykaleous -Mike- Prewett) and an accountant (Sarah Parker-Prewett) in a busy hospital of downtown London. She's never known any other home her whole life. From birth she knew herself as a city girl. Everything about the big cities excited Callie. Every time they took a family trip, she made sure that it was somewhere with a bustling metropolis that she could spend tons of money in while her parents oooh'd and aaah'd over some ancient ruins or museums. Up until the day her letter from Hogwarts came, Callie knew exactly how her life was going and exactly where she was going to end up, even at 11 years old. She had perfect grades, popularity, money, and a great family. Her dream goal was to become an actress, and with all the lessons she had (acting, singing, dance, etc etc) she was well on her way. She'd even gotten a bit part in a commercial at the age of eight. Life was going wonderfully.

And then an owl flew through her bedroom window one night, dropping a very odd looking letter into her hands. Thinking it was a joke, she showed her father, who quickly discarded it and wrote a letter in return, sending it off by the same animal. Being the intelligent girl she was, it didn't take long for Callie to pester her father into telling her exactly what was going on. The letter was from a special school called Hogwarts, which Callie would not be attending because her father had shut out everything to do with that part of his life. The Wizarding World was a terrible place and things were much happier on this side of reality. Which was, of course, not enough to tide Callie over. She spent the entire summer intentionally using the abilities that she had only controlled subconsciously for her betterment before. She made her parents lives hell, especially her mother, who had no magical defense against her.

Finally, after fighting for what seemed like days, Sarah convinced Mike to send Callie to Hogwarts for the good of them all. From that point on, Callie made her father tell her absolutely everything about the life she never knew she had. She found out that her name wasn't Callie Prewett, it was Mafalda Calandria Prewett, after two very prestigious witches in her bloodline (Mafalda Prewett & Calandria Black, her great-great grandmothers on her maternal grandmother's side). She found out about the war and why she'd been kept away from the world. Immediately Callie knew that blood purification was important, especially to a pureblooded family like she originated from. She planned to do all she could to work her way into the good side of her family, the ancient Prewetts and Blacks... even going so far as to adopt her true Wizarding name. Which is why it's no surprise that, even though her father was a Ravenclaw, Mafalda was placed into Slytherin, a house where she could surely excell, even as a mudblood (which had become a word used quite freely in Mafalda's household).

Over her first few years, Mafalda took the time to dig up everything she could about the history of her family. She knew exactly who she was related to and how. Her closest living relatives were Arthur Weasley & Molly Prewett Weasley and their spawn, as well as the Black sisters and their children (Tonks & Draco). However, she wasn't sure that putting herself in with either lot was entirely beneficial to her social status, so Mafalda kept the latter information indisclosed. Afterall, she was a Prewett by name, therefore most of the Wizarding World could easily connect her to the Weasleys through Molly, but few people knew that the Prewetts had intermarried with the Blacks a few times. So now all Mafalda had to do was get ahold of her oldest living relative and suck up until she found her rightful place in the inheritance.

The way she carried herself when she stayed with her Nan and Pops Prewett (Molly's paternal grandparents) caught their attention. By thirteen she had disowned her parents and moved in with the ancient pair. She was spoiled even more in their care, and found her place in high society, acting every part the spoiled pureblooded child. She acted out, she was rebellious, she did things that were very likely to get her into trouble. And her grandparents wrote it off as nothing but her being a growing girl. They said times had changed since they'd been kids and she was just being a normal teenager for her time. Which was completely untrue, she was being a menace.

Until the time of their deaths, Nan and Pops did all they could to hide Mafalda's blood status. And being that they actually had a good deal of money and power in the Wizarding World, they were able to slide Mafalda under the lines. As far as anyone knew, Mafalda was an orphaned pureblood, taken in and raised by her purist great-grandparents. No one knew any different, even Molly, who knew nothing of her stock broker cousin since he left the Wizarding World decades ago. Only a few hidden records had the real proof of Mafalda's bloodline, and they were locked away in the Muggle World. And her father, who had wanted nothing to do with the Wizarding World, just let his daughter disappear from his life.

As far as schooling went, Mafalda stayed at Hogwarts during Voldemort's take over in 1997. She and her grandparents had done well hiding her heritage and Mafalda had slipped right under the radar. As she got older, Mafalda fouced less on the studies that had gained her respect in school and more on the things that true purist ladies worried about. She became a socialite. While purist propaganda wasn't widely accepted anymore some circles still believed that pureblood should marry pureblood. Mafalda kept with tradition and sought herself a pureblood husband.

Nan and Pops died just after Voldemort was defeated, under very mysterious circumstances. They left Prewett Manor and the remains of their fortune to Maffie. It was just enough for her to live on the rest of her life and no more. Mafalda, however, was a brilliant girl and invested as early as she could. She used the proceeds from the investments to rebuild the falling-apart Prewett Manor. Her new husband moved in with her, as he was a second born, and added his inheritance to hers. Their children might not have a large dowry or inheritance, but at least Maffie is rebuilding her family's honor.

1982 January: Mafalda born to a former-wizard and a muggle woman.
1993 July: Mafalda receives her Hogwarts letter, her father hides it from her. Making a fuss the whole summer, they decide to send her anyway.
1995 August: Mafalda disowns her parents and moves in with her great-grandparents.
1998 February: Nan & Pops pulled some strings while the Ministry was under Voldemort control and got rid of all documentation that listed Mafalda as half-blood. Anyone who went searching would find only papers that said she was pureblooded.
1998 August: Nan & Pops die. Mafalda is left the manor and whatever inheritance is left.
1998 September: Mafalda returns to Hogwarts to finish her education. And to seek out a pureblood husband.
2000 June: Graduates Hogwarts. Lives in Prewett Manor with her new husband.
